Learn to...with Pat Class - English Paper Piecing Grandmothers Flower Garden
Learn the the basics of English paper piecing. This is a hand sewing technique class, not a finished project. Suggestions will be given for completed projects.

| Requirements: | Supplies needed: 1 1/2" inch hexagon papers 2 Fat quarters Water soluble glue pen Thread (50, 60, or 80 wt.) - my go to thread is Aurifil 50 wt. gray cotton #2600 or #2615 Thread conditioner if using cotton thread Hand sewing needles - size 10 or 11, either quilting/betweens or milliners. Quilting needles are short and don't bend easily; milliners are longer and easier to hold. Needle threader (optional) Thimble (optional) Fabric scissors Rotary cutter Rotary cutter ruler (should be at least 12" long, but does not need to be much longer) Thread snips Marking tool (optional) Some type of clips ("Wonder Clips") "That Purple Thang" (optional but may be helpful) Portable light source (optional) Note-taking items |

| Instructor Bio: | Pat is currently from Story City, but is a Jersey girl at heart. She loves to learn new sewing, cutting, and ruler techniques and share them with the rest of us. Pat tends to rotate her different sewing techniques so she doesn't get bored. She learns a lot, but doesn't always finish her projects immediately. |
