QS - TearAway (Fusible) Stabilizer - Quilters Select
Directions for Use and Care
To stabilize for satin stitching or applique:
- Cut a piece of Select TearAway slightly larger than the area to be stitched or embellished.
- Place the shiny side of the stabilizer to the wrong side of the fabric.
- Cover the stabilizer with a pressing cloth or piece of cotton.
- Using a medium setting (wool) on your iron, press into place.
- Let the stabilizer become cool.
- Stitch or embellish as desired.
- Once stitching is complete, gently tear away the excess stabilizer.
To stabilize for embroidery:
- Cut a piece of Select TearAway at least one inch larger than the embroidery frame intended for use.
- Place the shiny side of the stabilizer to the wrong side of the fabric.
- Cover the stabilizer with a pressing cloth or piece of cotton.
- Using a medium setting (wool) on your iron, press into place.
- Place the stabilized fabric in the embroidery frame and stitch.
- Once stitching is complete, remove the article from the embroidery frame and gently tear away the excess stabilizer.
Washer and Dryer Safe
Cool water and low drying temperature recommended.
Press using a low to medium setting on your iron and press cloth. Do not touch the iron directly to the stabilizer.
